Marble Imitation

The first photo shows a fireplace flanked by book shelf spaces in which I painted a marble imitation. The imitation was copied from the marble of the fireplace using charcoal and acrylic paint.

The next few photos show switch plates painted to continue the marble of the counter and splash plate.

Next is painted a Red Levanto marble for a bar at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, DC. The gate to the bar was of wood and I copied the actual marble which is on the right side and in the other photo, on the top. An actual marble bullnose will be attached to the painted marble.

An imaginary drift marble is painted on this low coffee table.

The sea green marble imitation also has Trompe L’oeil moulding painted on it.
