Zoe’s Pink Bedroom

Zoe’s parents requested that I collaborate directly with their daughter, Zoe, on her room decor. Zoe sat upside down in an easy chair as we discussed her vision. Her requirements were “PINK”, including the images of two puppies and it had to be “CUTE”.

I set to work. First, I painted a soft stenciled pattern on the walls. At the top of the walls, I painted swags all around with a white bow detail between.

Next to the window, I added some pink, drawn curtains, detailing them with gold fringe. The gold fringe continues around the room above the chair rail topped off with pink, gold and white roping.

The dogs were incorporated as a gold-framed painting with a pink stripe background. Zoe’s mother liked this and asked if I could paint a blank frame so Zoe could display her drawings. The entire tableau is topped off with a Monogram “Z” for Zoe over the door.
