Still Life Paintings

I paint many small still lives, often fruits and vegetables. This is a small painting of green peppers in acrylics.

The mousetrap painting was for an exhibition at a convention in Italy - hence the spaghetti. In a humorous composition, the plate of spaghetti is the bait for a big rat.

The circular painting is a Trompe L’oeil grisaille. Painted to appear dimensional Grisailles are monochromatic images.

Lemons and pears are painted on a toile tablecloth. The perspective of the pattern creates space in addition to the overlapping fruit.

The tabletop still life with Green Pitcher contrasts a graphic, flat background with highly blended and modeled forms of various textures.

A small still life with avocado and tangerine in front of a silk fabric.
