A Tuscan Arbor Wall in Capital Hill

The parameters of this project were to paint a mural over course brick covered in sloppy tar sealant with images of Tuscany supplied by the client…and to include their dog and house in the painting. The image cleans up the wall with a beautifully colored mural making the Tableau of arbor, garden and mural a special atmosphere for outdoor enjoyment.

I am especially pleased with the color key; with the cool bluish greens, the restrained sky colors, and the earth tone accents in the foreground. The interaction of the rough texture of the wall and the interplay of paint heightens the color’s effectiveness.
